Who We Are
Rawatan, a company specialized in agricultural materials trade and an agency for food industries and general commercial industries, registered in the Ministry of Trade and Industry – Kurdistan Region, General Administration of Companies Registration, according to No. 32609, dated June 21, 2022.

- Rediyar Contracting Company Limited, which obtained an investment license to complete the modern Alwa project in Erbil.
- Green Eastland General Trade Company Limited, which specializes in importing and building glass and plastic houses.

Our projects
Pioneering Agricultural and Technological Projects Driving Sustainable Development in Kurdistan
Our group of agricultural, research and marketing projects contribute very effectively to achieving the sustainable development goals adopted by the United Nations for a better world in 2030 AD, as they contribute to more than 10 of the 17 allocated goals. By twinning our group of companies operating in various sectors, we have completed many pioneering projects in the Kurdistan Region, achieving priority in the region with achievements that are almost the first of their kind in various fields, especially agricultural production with modern technology.

Modern Alwa in Erbil
The project is located 9 km from the center of Erbil city. The project is strategic and has an area of 507,000 square meters, for preserving and distributing food supplies. Consists of :
- Five large halls with a total of 200 shops, in addition to 258 shops built outside the halls, for local products, dry foodstuffs, and agricultural supplies and materials.
- 179 refrigerated stores for preserving foodstuffs, along with a group of administrative buildings for these stores.
- A large refrigerator containing 6 huge refrigerated halls for preserving and trading fruits and foodstuffs, and a 3,000-ton freezer for meat.
- The project includes 3 giant warehouses for preserving and distributing foodstuffs, and two large yards for selling watermelons and watermelons.
- The complex also contains all the infrastructure, facilities, and services, including a motel, money exchange shops, a police station, a health center, and a civil defense center.

World Horty Center – Erbil research (WHC- Erbil)
The Center, in partnership with the Horti International Center in the Netherlands, is considered an institution for knowledge and innovation in research and international agricultural and horticultural business management, and it is a leading platform for research, education and innovative business in the Kurdistan Region, to support agriculture and food horticulture, as we offer Dutch and international agricultural experiences and expertise, and it also includes a permanent exhibition of supplies. Greenhouses and their maintenance, a conference hall and a group of halls for workshops and meetings.

Statistics and Electronic Data centre
The Data Center, which was implemented by Senatel, ensures business continuity on the one hand and benefits from information technology on the other. Most importantly, it is to make this data understandable and comprehensible for decision makers to use in formulating policies in the region and developing the private sector in general and the agricultural sector in particular. .

Glass and Plastic houses
Since the beginning of its establishment, our companies have intended to import agricultural technology to achieve an increase in production, as well as to provide good quality with international standards. Roatan… is the first company, not only in the region, but in all of Iraq, that began building plastic and glass houses supported by the latest and finest technologies. We have concluded a contract. Agreements with specialized Dutch companies, and we built glass and plastic houses to grow many types of fruits and vegetables according to the market’s need, which we developed and expanded the scope of diversity to include rose cultivation, which is the first and only experience in Iraq.
Agriculture using greenhouses and plastics provides appropriate and modern solutions to control the product, its availability, and improve its quality, not to mention the rationalization of water use at rates of up to more than 55%, and the consequences of all of the above, which culminate in a high-value return for this quick investment.The Investment Authority allocated an area of 300 dunums for the construction of glass and plastic houses, in a strategic location only 9 km from the city center.
Innovative Agricultural Advancements and Achievements
Our company’s efforts were distinguished in construction and investment, with strategic participation with Dutch technology through the company (Horti 16,000 m2, and produced in the first year and in a record period (60) kg per square meter of tomato and cucumber crops. Our company’s study center, through its reliance on the data and analysis policy, presented an important study that our company immediately adopted by starting to build greenhouses for growing roses, where we became the first and pioneer in this field, investing an area exceeding (8,000) square meters. It was mid-February of the year. 2024 is a special date for the first stages of harvesting. As well as building spherical greenhouses on an area of 1,100 square metres, to create environmental conditions and a climate suitable for the production and care of trees and various ornamental plants.
