Twenty million seedlings annually of various fruits and vegetables, is the number that represents the outcome of an important economic feasibility study prepared for us by the Dutch company (Hortex), as an initial stage to start this type of production. This is what encouraged us to start the project, as the year 2020 was the first start of construction, which we completed with advanced local expertise due to… Due to the spread of the Corona epidemic at that time, the estimated area of this project, which is 10,000 square metres, will be one of the best methods for producing seedlings in Iraq. Through this method, the following will be achieved:
- Preserving planted seeds, as the chance of successful seed germination in the nursery is great, especially when using hybrid varieties.
- Ease of early production and protection from exposure to unsuitable weather conditions.
- Ease of servicing seedlings in the nursery and the possibility of protecting them.
- Saving time and providing the appropriate environment for producing the best types.
- Producing high quality seedlings, which is reflected in the crop.
- Economy and water saving.
